Privacy Policy
SkedClean ("SkedClean", "we", "us") is a scheduling and team-management app for house-cleaning companies. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. Last updated: October 28, 2026.
1. Who is responsible
SkedClean is operated by Washington da Silva ("the operator"). You can reach us at skedclean@gmail.com.
SkedClean is used by cleaning companies. For the information a company enters about its own clients, helpers and business, the cleaning company decides what is collected and why, and SkedClean acts as its service provider, processing that information only to run the app for that company. If you are a client or helper of a cleaning company, that company is your main contact for questions about your information.
2. Information we handle
Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely, never in readable form), optional phone number, language, optional photo, role in the company, and the date of birth you give at sign-up (used only to confirm you are 18 or older). If you choose to share how you identify (female, male, or prefer not to say), we store it in your profile. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them (Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real one). If you turn on two-step verification, we store that it is on; your codes stay in your authenticator app.
Business information entered by a company: clients (name, phone, email, notes, preferred language and payment method, birthday if provided), homes (address, access instructions such as lockbox codes, pets, special instructions, photos), schedules, prices, tips, invoices, payroll and time records, team messages, supply lists, online booking requests, reviews, and notices.
Payments: SkedClean does not store full card numbers. Companies may record the payment method used (for example Zelle, Venmo or cash) and, for cards, only the brand and the last four digits. SkedClean subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we receive the plan, the payment status and the card brand and last four digits, never the full card number.
Location: with the helper's permission, the app records when a helper arrives at and leaves each home on that day's schedule (within about 100 meters), along with the coordinates and time of those events. Helpers can decline in the app and log their hours by hand. We do not track location continuously or outside the scheduled homes, and we do not sell or share location data.
Maps and addresses: house addresses are converted to map points. To do this and to suggest addresses while you type, text you type is sent to a third-party address search service, and the map is loaded from a third-party map provider (see section 4). The coordinates of each home are saved in the company's account.
Technical information: basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working (for example errors and security events). We do not use advertising trackers.
Suggestions: if you send a suggestion or report a problem in the app, we keep the text with your company name and email so we can follow up.
3. How we use information
To provide the app: scheduling, teams, time records, invoices, messages, maps, reports and notices; to keep accounts and data secure; to prevent abuse and fraud; to support you when you contact us; to meet legal obligations; and to improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Who we share information with
Within a company: the company's owner and the people the owner gives access to can see that company's information, according to their role. For example, helpers do not see money, and only the owner and authorized managers see prices and reports.
Service providers that help us run the app: cloud hosting and database (Supabase), web hosting (Vercel), address search (Photon, from Komoot, using OpenStreetMap data), map tiles (OpenFreeMap, using OpenStreetMap data), subscription payments (Stripe), sign-in with Google or Apple (only if you choose it), and, if a company turns on text-message sending, a messaging provider. They may process information only to provide their service to us.
Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or the service.
Business changes: if the service is sold or merged, information may be transferred to the new owner under this policy.
5. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive fields (such as phone numbers, emails, addresses, access codes and messages) with a separate key for each company, strict separation between companies, and role-based access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
6. Keeping and deleting information
We keep information while an account is active. You can delete your account in the app (Profile > Delete my account). Deleting an account removes your profile and access. If you are the only owner of a company, deleting your account deletes the whole company and its data after a second confirmation.
A company can delete a client's or a home's information in the app at any time. Some copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and we may keep information we must keep by law.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example California and several other states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To make a request, email skedclean@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. If your information was entered by a cleaning company (for example you are one of its clients), we may direct your request to that company, which controls that information.
In the app you can also edit your profile, change your language and theme, and turn location sharing on or off (helpers).
8. Location and monitoring notice for helpers
If your employer or the company you work with uses SkedClean, your arrival and departure at scheduled homes may be recorded, as described above, only if you agree in the app. Laws in some states require your employer to give you written notice of electronic monitoring; the company is responsible for providing it. If you do not agree, you can decline and log your hours manually.
9. Children
SkedClean is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 18 for accounts). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for important changes we will notify you in the app.
